Jaroslawicz & Jaros successfully represented a woman who sued the Commodities Exchange, Inc., known as COMEX, alleging that she was sexually harassed while working at the COMEX as a commodities trader. This case was decided by a higher Court on an appeal, the Supreme Court, Appellate Division, First Department, finding for the first time that the COMEX may be held liable under New York’s laws for aiding and abetting discriminatory conduct. The appeal was written and argued by David Jaroslawicz and a copy of the decision is annexed; D’Amico v. Commodities Exchange, Inc., 652 N.Y.S.2d 294.
